Transit Lines

2014 - New York City Subway: 3 days. A Canon 5D with a 40mm lens. This series explores the subterranean movement and rhythm of NY transit. Originally commissioned for an outdoor installation at Jake's Handcrafted (Brooklyn, NY), each 48-inch image is printed on raw aluminum without a white base coat. The absence of an undercoating allows the brushed aluminum to interact with natural light, mirroring the cold, reflective surfaces of the trains themselves.
