2019 - This series is a digital reclamation of the "happy accident." Inspired by the chemical unpredictability of analog cross-processing, these "Color Twists" attempt to find that same joy in the digital age. Utilizing custom code to scramble the digital color channels, I intentionally randomize the palette to produce wild, neon-shifted realities. The subjects are from the already surreal harbor neighborhood of San Pedro, where my studio is located. Here, the machines and beauty of the harbor mirror the chemical mad science of my old, very messy darkroom—reimagined.
